Yeagle Back In Action
“After about seven weeks of nursing a shoulder injury I am lucky enough for the area to be blessed with a few days of t-shirt temps and the least precipitation we’ve experienced all year. It has been three days riding the trails, it is so nice to be back on the groove. Three new jumps have been opened up over the past week, we are glad that we were able to hit them this year since we plan to continue both lines over the winter and as much insight as to what speed you have coming down the line the easier it will be to predict what can be expected out of all that follows. One of the new jumps is a legit long and low, more long than low, maybe it should be called a long and mid. After hitting a big left hip whose landing continues downhill you hook into a right berm with all you got, hopefully much speed, and fire out of the berm into a short, narrow passage (both Ryan Wert and I have grazed the sidewalls getting loose out of the berm) that is your quick set up for the long and mid. Not being able to see the jump until you’re basically on top of it all the speed checks and aim leading up to it are on faith. Such a rad feeling, barreling down this massive landing, dropping a shoulder into a high-speed horizontal arc immediately followed by a high-speed vertical arc, brushing against some leaves and branches, as you pass between launch and landing. I’m so pleased trails season isn’t finished yet.” — Yeagle
