Tony Neyer Post-Surgery Update
Tony Neyer broke his ankle at the Glenhaven skatepark in Portland, Oregon on Saturday evening during the Etnies x Cinema demo. He sustained an open compound broken ankle and was rushed to Emanuel Legacy hospital in Portland for surgery. The doctor said surgery went smooth but the main concern is the risk of infection due to the open break (especially in a dirty skatepark), so the doctor wants to keep Tony in Portland until Saturday so they can monitor his condition and make sure his open wound stays clean. Thanks to the ARF (athleterecoveryfund.com) for flying Tony’s mother to Portland to be with him this week and covering her hotel expenses. From everyone at Verde, we wish Tony a speedy and healthy recovery. — Will Stroud, Verde TM & Filmer
