Ride To Glory 2011 is done and we are stoked how the tour went. We ended up winning the tour based on the points we collected for the challenge book. To name a few challenges we completed: Picked up a hitchhiker in London, went into the ocean in Redcar (Baltic temperature), got tattoos in the van with a homemade tattoo gun, caught a fish, sang karaoke in a packed bar, and completed the 500 Tweet challenge, just to name a few things. We also attempted to ride our bikes as much as possible but the wind and rain forced us indoors and to spend long hours in the van to get to dry spots. The tour ended at the Nike Pool in London where all the challenge books from each team were tallied up. It was a great feeling to win the points book which scored Verde the cover of the Ride To Glory issue, 500 pounds cash, and an invite on Ride To Glory 2012. Next up is the video contest which should be dropping on the Ride UK website during the second week of June. Thanks to everyone at Shiner Distro for making the trip possible, Ride UK magazine, all the locals we met on tour, and all the other teams. We had a great time and will be back next year. — Will Stroud

The team’s still holding it down on the Ride To Glory tour. Today they’re in London. Dave bruised his heel early on, but he’s back in the saddle now and getting things done. Our filming crew hasn’t been as lucky. Will broke his elbow and Walter Pieringer (photographer) broke his leg. According to Will our media crew may be crippled but they’re managing to still have a good time.
It looks like the weather in the UK finally cleared up for the team dudes. The crew finally got an outdoor session in, hitting up a concrete park and taking hot laps at the local race track around the corner. According to everyone on the trip, Lima’s (as seen above) been killing it. More pics after the jump.
According to the team dudes it’s been super windy all over England this week and therefore they’ve been forced to ride indoors for the past two days. Dave T has a bruised heel and Yeagle took one pretty hard too. To make up for it Dave has defied the laws of nature by consuming a total number of 10 Big Macs from McDonalds in just under 23 hours. Here he is on Big Mac #6. Word is he isn’t feeling too good…
G-Sport posted this “scrap” footy edit with Dave T over on their site. It’s short, but sweet.
Yeagle and Dave T are currently in the UK on Ride UK’s “Ride To Glory” with Lima, Scott Summerhayes, and Martyn Tambling. Verde TM Will Stroud sent over an update earlier and the team was leading points. There’s a ton of great coverage from the team over on Ride UK’s site.
Verde BMX AM Justin Burns hits the streets of NorCal. Filmed and edited by Kevin Kiraly.
Ride BMX is doing a Q&A with Biz. Head over to their site and ask Biz anything.
