We do realize that you don’t come here to see recap after recap from Interbike, but we couldn’t resist sharing this fine photo of Lou’s ridiculous mustache. Speaking of Lou, he’s been busy since returning from Las Vegas. The phones have been ringing non-stop and orders of remaining 2008 bikes are flying out the door. Bike shops looking to save big should give him a call. 614-777-0900. Mention Lou’s mustache for a free Verde banner with any bike order (shops only). Our 2009 bikes are prebooking fast, so call to get yours on lock. Thanks to Christoph at Unity in Germany for this sweet photo.
The Interbike Show was non-stop and it was great to meet so many of the dealers who sell Verde Bikes. In addition to Lou’s mustache, the Greenhouse display was full of some impressive BMX products from Verde, Duo, Cinema, and Fly Bikes. Fly also had some amazing artwork framed and on display. Lou snapped a few photos of the booth. Thanks to everyone that stopped by.
Check out the framed artwork that David from Fly Bikes father painted. Amazing.
Our 2009 bikes were quite popular. Peep the anodized barrel adjusters.
Mike Ardelean designed this Verde fitted hat made by Estate in Los Angeles. They should be in stock in time for the holidays.
RideBMX.com has quite a collection of photos and video coverage from the Interbike show in Las Vegas. We’ll add photos of our 2009 bikes here in the site this week, but in the meantime you can see a sneak peak on RideBMX.com or if you speak French check them out over at Data BMX.
Greetings from Las Vegas. Hopefully you’re here for Interbike and stopped by The Greenhouse booth to check out the new stuff from Verde, Duo, Cinema, and Fly (along with Lou’s mustache). If for some reason you’re stuck at home, check out this Vital coverage of the 2009 Verde line. The bike show has been incredibly busy and our 2009 bikes have been getting rave reviews. We’ll post some photos from the show soon. We’ve got to go tear down the booth.
Will Stroud is a longtime friend of all of us here at Verde. This year has been especially exciting for Will (and his wife Cristi) as they brought a baby boy into the world. Will sent us this great photo of Noah. The next exciting news for Will is that The Levi’s® Video is done and will premiere tomorrow night at the NORA Cup party in Las Vegas. Congratulations Will on all of the great things you’ve got going on these days.
Interbike begins on Wednesday and we’ve invited our friend and respected artist Don Pendleton to join us in Vegas. Don is making the trip to help us raise money to help Stephen Murray. All of us at Verde go way back with Stephen and want to contribute to hi cause. On Wednesday Don will hand paint a Verde Cartel frame, fork, and bars to be built up with some Odyssey parts (thanks Odyssey) into a one of a kind custom bike. We’re asking that you donate $5 per ticket which gives you one chance to win. One lucky winner will take home this custom ride. Please visit us at booth 5357. For more information how how to help, please visit The Stephen Murray Family Fund or Stephen’s myspace.

Went to see Beautiful Losers last night. Chances are you have seen something from one or all of the artists featured in this movie. It highlights several DIY artists who went from tagging trains to working with corporate giants, always staying true to their style. pretty inspirational. Check the website, its only in select cities right now.

I’m bringing Lou into this way back! Lou Capparelli is the reason I’m wearing that Pepsi one lycra jersey.. yikes. I’m glad freestyle moved out of the jersey phase. This photo was from the original Eastwood Ramp park in Wilmington, NC. The park was started by Dave Mirra. When the weather was bad we’d cruise down I-40 to the beach and ride with the locals. Ruben Alcantara even lived at the park for a while when he first moved to the US. You should have seen his kit: 4 pegs, gyro, front brakes, purple shorts!! He was just as impressive running that style as what he is today. All at eastwood.
Check out a sneak peek of our 2009 completes over on Defgrip. Enjoy!
